¹⁶ therefore thus says the Lord God: ^(A)“I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the ^(B)Cherethites ^(C)and destroy the remnant of the seacoast. ¹⁷ I will ^(D)execute great vengeance on them with furious rebukes; ^(E)and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I lay My vengeance upon them.” ’ ”
